Did You Know?

What makes Bainbridge Island so unusual? It has evolved through many cultures over thousands of years. The Island was historically home to the Suquamish Tribe. It has been explored by adventurers, housed military bases, become home to immigrants from all over the world, and employed loggers at the world’s largest sawmill, shipbuilders, and farmers. It is an environment in which writers and artists thrive.

The Museum holds a rare past with important stories for the world today.

Help us keep these stories alive with a donation or by becoming a member, which you may do by clicking the Join button. Your donation or membership goes a long way to preserve and share the stores of the Island for generations to come.
