61 Years Later. Still Serving History!

Presented by the Bainbridge History Museum, the 7th Annual Bainbridge Island Founders Tournament is coming to the island August 5-9, 2026! Help us celebrate the viral sport where it was invented 61 years ago!

Spectators can watch for FREE - from the first serve to the last matches - at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island. There will be vendors, hospitality tents, and food trucks. Battle Point Park has an adjacent playground - plus there’s amazing shopping and eating throughout the island - so bring the kids.

It’s all part of celebrating where the fastest growing sport in America started with simple garage-made wooden paddles and a wiffle ball.
