Have you ever wanted to see the famous Court 1 in person? Join us for a tour of pickleball's birthplace!
Court 1 on Bainbridge Island refers to the original pickleball court located at the Pritchard family residence, where the game was first invented in 1965. This court is considered the birthplace of pickleball and is a significant landmark for pickleball enthusiasts, according to Bainbridge Island history resources.
While a significant historical site, the court is on private property and not open to the public, however during the Founders Tournament there are set days and times for the tour - lead by a group of volunteers.
There are six tours available with very limited spots: August 15, 16, and 17 at 11:30am or 2:30pm leaving from Battle Point Park at the Founders Court.
